A free eye camp for slum dwellers was conducted at Sandhusrt Road, Mumbai. The camp sponsors were Labhuben Vithaldas Lakhani Educational Trust Mumbai. 216 patients were examined, of which 53 were advised Cataract Surgeries. The free surgeries will be performed at Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre, Mumbai

Project Rashtriya Netra Yagna - Free Camp for Construction Workers

A free camp for the construction worker of Kalpataru Properties was conducted at Parel, Mumbai on 14-October-2015. A total of 125 workers were examined of which 32 were prescribed glasses and 7 were referred to the base hospital for further investigations.

Project Bal Drishti - School Eye Screening Free Camp at Sion

A free camp for eye screening of school children was conducted at M. P. Bhuta Sion Sarvajanik School, Vardhaman Nagar, Sion, Mumbai. 266 students were examined of which 13 were prescribed glasses. 43 students are referred to our base hospital ' Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre' for further tests. These tests would be conducted free of charge

A Free eye camp for the slum dwellers was held at Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti Hospital, Parel, Mumbai in association with Labhuben Vithaldas Lakhani Educational Trust Mumbai. 127 patients were examined and 21 are operated at our base hospital "Bombay City Eye Institute and Research Centre".

Project Rashtriya Netra Yagna - Camp at Mahuva, Dist. Bhavnagar, Gujarat

A free surgical eye camp was held from 20th June to 24th June 2015 at Mahuva, District Bhavnagar, Gujarat by a team of doctors from Vision Foundation of India, Mumbai. Shri Muraribapu blessed and inaugurated the free surgical eye camp by lighting of the lamp. The free surgical camp was held under Vision Foundation of India’s “Rashtriya Netra Yagna”, where more than 1 million free surgeries will be carried out across India. In spite of rains and unfriendly weather, the eye camp had tremendous response from nearby towns and villages. 1000 patients were screened for Cataract and other eye disorders. 117 patients have been operated for Cataract at Hanumant Hospital, Mahuva. Patients with other eye disorders were given free medicines.

Project Bal Drishti - School Eye Screening Free Camp at Talasari, Dist. Thane

Children in school going age (6 - 14 years) represent over 25% of the population. Avoidable blindness is more important considering the number of potentially productive years that lies in front of the children. A free eye screening camp for tribal & rural school children was conducted at Talasari, Dist. Thane. A total of 4689 children from 14 schools participated. Children found to having vision less than 6/6 were sent for refractive error correction. Free Spectacles were delivered for the 45 affected students, 9 students were advised to visit the hospital for further investigations.

Project Police Jyoti - An initiative by Vision Foundation of India for Maharashtra Police

Vision Foundation of India is closely associated with Mumbai Police since past 10 years in providing eye care treatment to Mumbai police and its extended family members free of cost. To avail this treatment any police personnel can approach us or just walk-in at Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre at 5 Babulnath Road, Mumbai 40007 for free treatment. Alternately Vision Foundation of India sends its medical team with its air-conditioned mobile van to various police stations and police residential colony for conducting free eye camp. Since the inauguration of the program on 14th October, 2005 by our Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Late Shri R.R. Patil, & then Police Commissioner Shri A.N. Roy following number of people benefited from the above project.
